DescriptionFor our client we are looking for a Data Scientist!
Job description:
By using sensor data from a network of the audience's smartphones, this product aim to bring the readers into the story creation flow. The data generated by this network will be analyzed to detect insights, which can be delivered directly to the audience or be developed further by journalists.
The one who makes the value out of the data. Creator of the machine learning aspects needed to detect insights and anomalies that can trigger new stories. How much data is needed for a specific story? How
can we visualize it?
Working experience in statistical modelling and/or machine learning
MSc or PhD degree in the field of Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics
Good understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests etc. Knowledge of frameworks such as Theano, Torch, Caffe, TensorFlow or equivalent. You will be building system for automated anomaly detection, structured prediction, clustering, supervised learning.
Experience with scientific computing, such as R, Python, Scala, MatLab, etc.
Experience with data visualisation tools, such as D3.js, GGplot,Tableau, Bime etc.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
Knowledge of AWS/Google Cloud Platform and in general working in cloud based technologies
Capable of tackling very loosely defined problems.
Great communication skills. Good understanding or experience working in Agile environments.
