Description
We are urgently looking for a Spark/Hadoop Architect for our top end client in Canada.
6 to 8 years of experience as a technology leader designing and developing data architecture solutions on Hadoop and with more than 2+ years specializing in Streaming analytics and complex event processing using Storm, Spark, Flink or similar technologies
Skills required:
- 5+ strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE technology
- 2+ Experience in SparkSQL, Spark Streaming, Flink, Python, Java and Scala.
- 3+ years of total IT experience and needs to have experience with the major big data solutions like Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra.
- Should have experience with one of the large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions like Amazon Web Services or Elastic Map Reduce.
- Strong knowledge on Spark Architecture and RDD-Pair RDD.
- Proficient in Scala, Java & Python programming.
- Experience developing Java Restful web services
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Strong customer facing and relationship building skills including strong listening and question based knowledge gathering skills
Desirable:
- Exposure to major Big data platforms such as Cloudera/Hadoop/MapR.
- Knowledge of web technologies and protocols (NoSQL/JSON/REST/JMS)
