Proteus Europe is searching for a SAP Basis Engineer speaking Dutch or French available to work in a long term contract for one of our clients in Belgium

Your New role:-
- Evaluate SAP application environments to define upgrades, changes and enhancements and bring forward improvements to it.
- Inform, assist the company SAP users to ensure that SAP applications are used up to date and efficiently
- Monitoring and reporting application availability and performance
- Install, upgrade (new) SAP environments
- Perform when necessary from Root Cause Analysis
- Install windows updates according to the agreed schedule with the CISO, perform sanity checks after major interventions
- Performs 1 or more complex assignments in which different technologies can be mixed.
- Has a sound level of knowledge that enables him to solve most of the problems independently
- Reference for one to three application portfolios
- Completes analysis of simpler issues and draws the correct conclusions from this
- Is able to communicate in a smooth manner to internal and external customers.
- Can work well together in teams and with other teams
- Bachelor/Master of Informatics or equivalent through experience
- Promoting changes throughout the SAP Applied Landscape (Development to Production)
- Participation in On call: in order to guarantee optimal availability.
Advice and Communication
- Provide technical advice and information to internal and external customers to allow them to make a correct estimate of the technical capabilities and limitations and this (B-IT) technology stack used
- Critically reflect on possible improvements in procedures and procedures within projects and within the department
- Efficient and effective communication with the customer in terms of rolling out applications, (acceptance, transition and production) or in case of incidents, bug fixes; communicate with regard to progress, solution,.Knowledge management
- Keep active knowledge of and exchange of this knowledge and experience within the field of expertise (technically) to the other colleagues
- Expand and keep up to date the available documentation
- Keeping up to date on the evolutions
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- Can take responsibility for 1 or more complex assignments (possibly in consultation with TL).
- Has an in-depth knowledge of its own expertise area
- Reference for more than three application portfolios
- Contact point for junior and mediators
- Can solve complex issues autonomously
- Is able to convey a message to internal and external customers and to management in a smooth way.
- Take charge of coordinating different parties to realize an objective across different teams.
- Completes analysis of complex issues and draws the correct conclusion from this
- Bachelor/Master of Informatics or equivalent through experience
- Fluently spoken Dutch and/or French, good knowledge of English; French or Dutch written in writing
- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Linux
- SAP Stack: Knowledge of NetWeaver environments (BI, CRM, Portal, TREX, ECC, PO, GRC)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project, Visio)
- Virtualization: Microsoft Hyper V
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Couchbase, HANA, SQL Anywhere
- ITIL foundation
