Our client, a Big4 Bank is seeking a 'go-getter' full stack Java Developer to join their company on a long term contract basis.
This project will deliver a Digital platform that will enable application data capture and Real Time credit decisioning for Business customers applying for a Business Cards and Overdrafts online.
Ideally, the applicant will be able to demonstrate the below minimum requirements;
- At least five years of Full Stack Java development experience with a solid technical background in developing enterprise Java systems/application stacks
- 10+ years in software development/engineering
- 5+ years at a senior level or within a leadership role
- Spring Boot
- AngularJS MVC/SPA
- Experience across full software development life cycle: Analysis, Development, Testing, Configuration Management, Deployment and Release.
- Agile Software Development and Management methods and ability to excel within a fast-paced environment
- Interfacing with JSON APIs
- Experience working with diverse teams from Development, Testing, Operations, Security, Architecture, Infrastructure to Business & Management.
- Continuous Integration & Delivery practices and tools. (Jenkins)
- Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments.
- Experience with latest development methodologies
- Build Management tools
- Development experience using source repository systems
- Writing automated unit tests
- Release & Configuration Management practices such as parallel development (tagging, branching, etc.), managing versions and third party libraries
- Experience with Repository Managers
- Knowledge of code quality analysis tools (coverage, duplication, complexity, dependency analysis and standards)
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong delivery focus with an active approach to quality.
- Working with Key Stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting & documentation skills
- Able to work under pressure and self-manage tasks.
- Enthusiasm for technology and solving problems.

Responsibilities include;
- Working with business analysts/UI designers to ensure requirements are clear as well as offering technical input into the requirements process
- Working with solution designers to provide development input into the solution design
- Designing and coding of Java J2EE solutions and AngularJS SPA/MVC applications
- Working with the test team to ensure applications are robust
- Continuous innovation in development practices, including CI/CI and Agile delivery framework
- Presenting to internal and external colleagues/stakeholders
