Murex developer/Murex Engineer

Our client is a leading financial organisation based in Holland. For this client, we need a Murex Developer with a strong character and with experience working in an international Financial Markets Organization.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, talented, self-motivated Murex Developer. You will be working in a team with 5 other software engineers and you are primarily responsible for working on interfaces, reporting, the Murex Datamart and generation of reports, and End-of-Day processing, supporting and managing the production service. The implementation of Murex as the strategic platform for Front-to-Back-to-Risk (FtBtR) processing will result in a need for a standing organisation to be established to provide day-to-day support and deliver business-as-usual changes. The resources, skills and knowledge will need to be ready for the "go-live" of the first phase, targeted for early 2018.

With a T-shaped software engineer profile, you would be expected to contribute to both development and testing as core activities, and also extend your knowledge across other roles in the team.
Your profile:
- Knowledge of and experience working in an international Financial Markets organisation
- Technical Skills (Murex skills expected to be well established)
- SQL, XSLT (DTDs), XML, XSLF, XMLF, XMFBM, XSLTREE
- OS: Linux
- Stored Procedures, PL/SQL, Oracle
- Knowledge of interfacing and MQ
- Good programming experience in Java
- Tools: Team Foundation Server (TFS), Jira, Reformx
- MSL, OSP, Lookup tables
- Knowledge of the software system life cycle
- Knowledge of agile development practices
- Familiarity using the MSOffice Suite, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Visio
- Proficient in the English language
