Our client within the public sector is looking for a developer with solid expertise on .NET and SSIS.
The client considers that this post will fall within the scope of the IR35 legislation, but will undertake a final assessment using the HMRC recommended toolkit once the preferred candidate has been identified to confirm this fact and prior to offering the position for acceptance by the candidate
The Job
Main task is to add features to high performance fuzzy record linkage (.NET) and update a SQL server data warehouse.
Essential Skills
- Solution oriented
- 4 - 5 years' experience of developing server applications and libraries in C# .NET (non-Web/Forms)
- 2 years Linq
- SQL
- MS SQL Server
- MS SQL Server Integration Services
- 2 years Development of .NET server applications
- Enterprise Architecture
- Experience of creating multi-threaded applications
- Expertise in design patterns
- Version control, preferably Git
- Full software development life cycle
- Test Driven Development expertise
- Ability to work in an agile team
Desirable Skills
- Baseline Security Clearance
- R (statistical programming language)
- SQL Server 2014
- Dapper
- Experience using MongoDB
- Experience using Apache Hive
- Experience of working within government.
- Awareness of non SQL data stores eg Redis
The Reward
- Contract for a minimum period of 6 months
- Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
- Daily rate: Between £350-£400 per day - depending on experience
