Opportunity for Web Developer

Our Client, a Federal Government Department in Canberra is seeking the services for a Web Developer.

The services will include and not be limited to:

  • As part of a team, assisting and executing a range of tasks under the direction of the Siebel Technical Lead;
  • Designing and developing enterprise web applications
  • Maintaining HTML and CSS to improve user experience and accessibility;
  • Supporting deployment to production as part of the releases scheduled
  • Providing code reviews and quality assurance; and
  • Mentoring junior team members.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience developing with web technologies such as:
    • CSS,
    • JS,
    • JQuery,
    • HTML5;
  • Experience with MVC frameworks, Modular JS design pattern and LESS or Sass;
  • Understanding of Object Orientated programming;
  • Demonstrated experience in producing online content that:
    • is optimised for the web;
    • complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG);
    • complies with writing style guides;
    • meets best practice industry standards for usability;
  • Experience in preparing information for a range of audiences;
  • Ability to apply plain English writing styles;
  • Demonstrated experience in using a content management system (CMS) to publish content;
  • Experience creating Web development standards;
  • Experience in UX design;
  • Experience with Siebel Open UI;
  • Experience with mobile responsible implementation/s.

The client requires the applicants to hold Australian Citizenship and Baseline Vetting Security Clearance for this role.
