Perl Developer - Modern Perl - DBIx
A global client based in London, are looking for a Perl Developer - Modern Perl - DBIx on an initial 6 month contract. The technical agile team use the Modern Perl Stack (DBI, DBIx:Class, Catalyst, Plack, Template Toolkit and Moose) and PostgreSQL.
You'll be joining an established Perl team, consisting of many contributors to CPAN and will be given many opportunities to release your own modules.
The Perl Developer - Modern Perl - DBIx will have the following responsibilities
- Build high quality HTTP based services
- Identify and help plan improvements to system
- Participate in code review and mentoring process
- Identify industry trends and experiment with new tools, technologies and development methods with an outlook to adopting the practices that best fit the business
- Monitor and support production systems
The Perl Developer - Modern Perl - DBIx should have the following Skills:
- Server Side development in Perl
- Modern Perl
- PostgreSQL
- Version control systems
- Ability to investigate and trouble-shoot technical issues and effectively context-switch
- Linux OS familiarity
