Description

Church International have been tasked to recruit a large team of experienced WebSphere Commerce Server Developers (6/7). These roles can either be Home Based or based in our clients London office with a requirement (fully expensed) to visit the Head Office once per fortnight as required.

Our client is a market leading organisation, who help their clients in the retail, media and financial services sectors grow their businesses and cut costs by ensuring critical IT systems are fast, scalable and robust.

They achieve this through adopting independent, holistic approach to IT performance assurance that encompasses people, process and tooling. Their core service offerings include bespoke application development, performance testing, performance engineering and development consultancy.

We are looking for a large number of experienced WebSphere Commerce Dev elopers to work in their Development Teams. The ideal people will be WebSphere Commerce developers who are developing web based systems on the WebSphere platform using JSP to create a highly interactive user experience.

As the technical lead in an Agile cross functional team, focussing on high value, high usage solutions you will be expected to design robust solutions to meet client requirements. You will take responsibility for the quality of the technical work completed by the team and will be expected to take the lead on decision making around the correct technical approach.

The successful candidate should have experience in the following technical skills:

WebSphere Commerce Server 6 or 7

  • EJB
  • JPA
  • JSP and Dojo
  • SQL
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development methodologies

Any candidate who has experience of the following technical skills would be highly sought after.

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Experience of Application Servers - Tomcat/WebSphere/Oracle
  • Linux Scripting and log file analysis
  • Knowledge of Java
  • High performance and High Availability
