Database Developer (Java/Web Applications/Spring/Hibernate)
This contract is with a consultancy organisation to be on an assignment at a European Agency in central Brussels as follows:
The Agency is developing and maintaining a number of applications that serve the business needs of the agency. This is done by a team of intra-muros experts together with agency staff.
The architecture is JAVA based, both desktop and web.
Front End tier for web apps: HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, JQuery,
Business-tier: Java/J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate
Database-tier: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle database
The work will be carried out on a Full time basis at the agency's premises in Brussels.
Detailed tasks
The tasks are related to the development of information systems, their implementation and maintenance
Required Skills
Other than the skills defined by the profile, the candidate should have specific expertise in following domains:
- Java EE platform (version 7 and above)
- Experience in the development of web applications.
- The candidate must be fluent in English and should be also able to write documents in English.
Optional Skills
Following expertise is considered as an asset:
- Oracle WebLogic Application Server (used in production);
- Apache Tomcat (used for testing);
- Experience in developing complex queries using SQL (in particular Oracle SQL);
- Knowledge of client web technologies and tools: HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS;
- Knowledge of EC ICT systems and infrastructure.
