Scala Developer is required by a global broadcasting client based in West London.
Essential skills
A passion for Agile methodologies and concepts such Lean, and Kanban as well as XP practices including pair programming, TDD, BDD & DDD
Proven delivery experience of high volume, high availability, large-scale Back End system
A background in Continuous Integration and Delivery practices
Scala and Java 8
Micro Services Architecture
Reactive Systems
Testing tools (ScalaTest) & mock frameworks (mockito)
Akka
RESTful APIs
Unix
Experience with Cassandra or other No SQL databases
Experience with Apache Kafka
Experience with logging, monitoring and alerting tools, eg Splunk, Logstash, Kibana, App Dynamics, Elastic Search, Grafana, etc
Interest in and experience of dev ops
Production support
Comfortable presenting and leading technical discussions to both technical and non-technical audiences
