The project - Cloud Native Developer Cloud-Native Cloudnative
Our client wants to build applications with a cloud native design in function of webscaling, flexible releases and integration with cloud eco-systems. To take maximum advantage of cloud environments, they will be using container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes), a microservices based design, API management, Java frameworks like spring/springboot and cloud related databases (SQL and No-SQL). For a few pilot applications (K ching and Appyourservice)
We are looking for senior Java engineers to build the necessary Back End services and technical capabilities step by step. You will work together in a multi-functional team to automatize build-integration-deploy-test processes and build performant, qualitative applications.
In a first phase we will focus on the foundation layer of the new platform. We will (re)search how to do it and which technologies to use.
We will make a design on how to build and maintain the different components of this layer before to build and deliver the new platform.
This is a unique opportunity to create the base of a platform that will reform clients application landscape.
The profile

- You are up to date with the latest proven technologies
- You are an expert in object-oriented en functional programming in modern programming languages
- You have relevant experience in big environments in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Javascript Angular (2), Maven, Jenkins, Git, Virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes),
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL (mongoDB, )
- Strong experience with Front End and RESTful webservices, JSON,
- Very good knowledge of software development best practices
- Design patterns
- Unit testing, continuous integration, build pipelines (grunt, gulp)
- Code analyses (Sonar)
- Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, kanban)
- Creative mind, critical and outside of the box thinker
- Good in multitasking, working under strict deadlines is no problem
- Quality-driven and detail-oriented
- Flexible, social, creative and communicative
- Language requirements: fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
