Introduction
Our client is the leading telecommunications company in Belgium and a market leader in a number of areas, including retail and wholesale fixed-line telephony services, mobile communications services and broadband data and Internet services.
The E-TRANSFORMATION division is responsible for the various websites and applications that are offered to both residential and professional customers. They work closely with other departments such as product marketing, communication, engineering and operations.
The Transversal Servicing & Operations team works on several projects that impact our digital self-servicing environment.
Job description
As "Website and application tester" you will be responsible for creating and executing user acceptance tests on newly developed websites, web applications and mobile applications (Android, iOS and Windows Phone). The goal is to validate if the work that has been delivered by the developers, complies with the functional requirements that were defined by the product managers at the start of the project. You pay attention to functional deliveries, design and content.
You will work closely together with the test coordinators, the product managers and the developers. When you detect problems with the work that has been delivered, you are able to clearly describe the problem so that developers can implement a suitable fix.
You report your progress to your management, test manager and to the product managers who have defined the functional requirements you are validating. In case you detect serious issues with the deliveries, you communicate proactively so that the project timing can be safeguarded.
Throughout your day-to-day tasks, you show a customer oriented mentality and you contribute actively in delivering our projects in time and according to our demanding quality standards.
Required Profile & Skills:
Languages: English is a must, Dutch and French are of added value.
Team player
Excellent communication skills
Thorough understanding of common operating systems (Windows, MacOS), web browsers and website technologies (Scripting, CMS, etc.) and mobile apps (iOS, Android, Windows Phone)
Experience with HP Quality Center
Experience with creating test scenarios for and executing user acceptance tests of websites, online applications and mobile apps
Knowledge of waterfall and agile project methodologies
Knowledge of testing tools such as Firebug, Selenium and QTP is an asset
