Senior Database Administrator - Database Subject Matter Expert
CBD based Enterprise organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) working as part of the data centre IT infrastructure and operations team.
This is a Level 3 Database Support Engineer role providing core database platform services across a range of Database technologies.
The purpose of the role is to provide:
- Database Subject Matter Expertise to Application Support and Business Teams
- Database Solutions design input and review for On Prem, Cloud, and Hybrid solutions
- Ongoing operational support, and process, service, and efficiency improvements
Essential Skills:
- 5+ Years supporting database services including MySQL, or Postgres
- ITIL Foundations (V3 or later) Certification
- DR/ITSC Methodologies and planning experience
- Shell Scripting, Power Shell, Python, Ruby, Go
- Experience building and supporting cloud native database environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
- Proven history of owning and resolving issues
- Ability to manage own time and execution of tasks
