Our client is a manufacturer in the professional AV (audiovisual) market. The company has products that cover many different fields including: video and computer interfacing, switching, and signal distribution to professional displays and projectors.
They have developed thousands of innovative AV solutions for a diverse and demanding global marketplace. They design and manufacture AV components that work together to convert, switch and distribute signals, and control entire AV systems from a single interface. Their products enable effective communication in a variety of presentation environments, such as classrooms, boardrooms, houses of worship, lecture halls, and control centres.
With 30 offices situated around the glove our client is a world player in the audiovisual market. Based in the beautiful and historic province of Utrecht, this permanent role offers a competitive salary with a nice bonus package.
The company is currently expanding its UK operation designing video products for professional markets, creating an exciting opportunity to assist in the further development of state-of-the-art video display products. We are seeking motivated and creative software engineers, keen to learn and contribute to the development of new products in high performance real time video processing and video networks.
Your New role :-
We are seeking a motivated, proactive and creative Senior WPF Software Engineer, keen to learn and contribute to the development of software applications to control state-of-the-art video display, compression and networking products. You will be working with a team of highly skilled engineers who are passionate about technology, creating advanced software applications in an agile environment. You will be actively contributing your knowledge of modern software development techniques, and technology on diverse platforms.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
Expert in C# and developing windows native application using WPF and MVVM
- Minimum of 7+ years programming experience gained in an engineering environment
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles
- Experience with multi-threading and concurrency
- Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
- Ability to learn other coding languages as needed
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System environment
- UK First Degree level (or equivalent) qualification in either software or other relevant subject
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) able to work co-operatively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate
- Experience in designing and developing distributed software applications
- Network programming experience (TCP/IP, UDP)
- UML (Unified Modelling Language) is a plus
