WinOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer, Systems Engineer, Linux Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer, Automaiton EngineerMy client in the SW (Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Cardiff) are seeking a seniopr DevOps Engineer / WinOps Engineer /Automation engineer for a role automating lots of their applications within an enterprse level organisation.
Your Remit
- Automating enterprise level applications during the build and deployment phases
- Deploying to both internally hosted production centres and externally hosted cloud systems.
- Developing an excellent working relationship with international teams,
- Preparing, amending, and updating documentation including process workflow diagrams.
Ideal DevOps / WinOps candidates for this role would have knowledge of:
- Working as an application software engineer or an operations engineer
- CD /CI
- Git
- Jenkins, TFS, Octopus Deploy, etc.
- Ansible, Terraform.
- Artefactory, Nexus, etc.
- IaaS/PaaS cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
- Scripting, Testing and build languages such as RSpec, PowerShell, MSBuild, JSON, etc.
Optionally, you will also have some experience of, or a desire to learn about the following:
- Windows Server , Linux distributions.
- VMWare 2012
- Agile tracking tools such as Rally, Jira, etc.
- A basic understanding of network and security configurations.
- To create and work effectively with structured documentation as well as write quality documentation from notes preferably including diagramming software.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of an agile team as well as on your own and with remote teams.
- Supporting software development teams who use standard software engineering languages e.g. C#, .net 4.5 (or earlier), Java, XML, Front end languages such as Angular.
- Containerisation technology such as Docker, etc.
