Talent International are delighted to provide the opportunity for a talented Software Development Team Leader to join a highly innovative, commercial company in central Manchester.Currently the Software development function consists of over three hundred individuals and will continue to expand to meet business requirements. The position of Software Development Team Leader will require management of regular changes and set priorities to maintain market position above competitors.
As Software Development Team Leader you will not be developing but actively reviewing areas of code from the Developers. Having strong technical knowledge and ability will be a must. There will also be a responsibility of planning weekly releases in line with test and the other development teams.
A background in Technical Leadership or Technical Project Management would be highly desirable. Someone who is looking for that next step in their career in management but still wants a technical / hands on element would be a good match.
Required Skills / Attributes/ Experience
*Five years' experience in Microsoft Technologies (.NET, VB, C#, SQL Server, T-SQL) & Winforms development
*Five years' RDBMS experience (preferred SQL server 2005 or later)
*Two years' as a senior/technical lead of software development projects in a hands-on capacity
*Experience of working in a high pressure, reactive environment
*Ability to adapt to a very diverse and reactive working environment
*Ability to work with minimal requirements and manage multiple tasks
*Excellent communicator on a technical level
*Self-Motivated
*Delivery focussed
Desirable Skills / Attributes / Experience
*Experience of working in a 24/7 environment with an on call development function
*Previous Team / Tech Lead Experience
*Exposure to No SQL technologies and message orientated design
Education
*Degree qualified in Computer Science
*Candidates without a degree will be considered if they have proven experience.
