WordPress Developer

Central London

Rates negotiable

We are currently looking for an experienced WordPress Developer for an urgent new role with one of our clients based in London on a 6 month contract with a likelihood of it being extended. They are looking for someone to help support with the development of their current Intranet.

Essential
  • WordPress Multisite V4, good WP Codex knowledge.
  • Web application development and deployment skills including LAMP server administration and configuration, with a particular focus on WordPress nuances.
  • Build Vs buy plugin evaluation, Custom theming, plugin modifications, WP installation, hosting
  • Advanced Wordpress Developments, Responsive/Mobile WP websites
  • Strong OO PHP5, mySQL experience. MVC aware.
  • Experience with advance customisation of the back-end WordPress interfaces
  • Front-end technologies including HTML 5, CSS 2/3, JavaScript (incl. JQuery libraries)


Desirable
  • Practical experience of user-centred design and agile development
  • experience of Linux platform development
  • Working knowledge of Zend Framework (v1 and v2) and GitHub would be advantageous
  • Confident communicator, adept at explaining technical issues to non-technical colleagues including senior stakeholders and advocating for more effective approaches to digitising services
  • Expertise in open source principles, platforms and languages
