I have an exciting new opportunity working for a leading engineering firm. My client is looking for an experienced Data scientist/analyst with strong BI and Data Analysis skills, preferably utilizing Cognos Reporting, Tableau or Power BI. This is a hands on delivery focused role, some coding skills would be desirable - SQL, C#.
Key responsibilities/skills:
- You will have the opportunity to work on the implementation of complex data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analysing and visualising large sets of data to turn information into value using multiple platforms.
- Secure the data supply chain, understanding how data is ingested from different sources and combined/transformed into a single data set. Understanding how to analyse, cleanse, join and transform data.
- Application of data management, including validation, security, archiving, structure, storage and process monitoring.
- Implement design specified solutions into the chosen platform (eg Azure Data Factories/Data Lakes, HDInsight, Talend, MuleSoft or traditional software).
- Ensure the infrastructure available is capable of meeting the solution requirements.
- Plan, design and conduct tests of the implementations, correcting errors and re-testing to achieve an acceptable result.
