Tier One financial markets firm, based in the City seeks a full stack Developer with strong Web/UI development skills in including Java, HTML5, SQL, Javascript, CSS, to apply their technical expertise to develop a number of internal-facing architectural tools. These tools will be used by people across the organization, often non-technical, and so ease of use is a key concern. Tools that are planned for development are: Application Catalogue and Planning, Build and Deploy Entitlements Management, Metadata Management.
The successful applicant will:

Take ideas through from inception to consumable product.

Work with the Product Owners to design appropriate interface and back-ends for the tools.

Primarily responsible for the design and implementation of the whole application, although other developers may provide expertise for Back End build if needed.
Mandatory Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science/software engineering (or comparable maths/scientific discipline) coupled with relevant industry experience.
Highly skilled in multiple digital technologies, including Java, HTML5, SQL, Javascript, CSS

Proficient in SQL and Relational Database Concepts and Design
- Some experience of Agile or incremental development

Demonstrated ability to successfully lead small to medium scope projects as a technical lead

Ability to effectively consult and interact with Product Owners

Ability to influence and demonstrate impact within a technical team on proposed systems design
Preference will be given to anyone with ANY of the following:
- Experience in one or more of the following technologies would be highly advantageous: AngularJS, Amazon WS (AWS), DynamoDB, Agile experience and toolset, (Jira, Confluence, Gitlab), Selenium
Docker, Monitoring/logging frameworks: eg Splunk/ELK, Test automation: Karma, Jasmine, PhantomJS
Problem solving and process analysis work experience
Experience with database query tools preferred
Experience of working with/within an Architectural Tools/Architecture team within ANY industry
- Experience of working in Financial markets (investment banking/investment management/asset management/wealth management, hedge fund or other "buy-side" organisation)
Please note that this particular requirement will be contracted within IR35 (at the rate stated above), however multiple extensions available for the right candidate (with no tenure limit/s).
