Opportunity for Senior Test Analyst with a Federal Government Department!

Our client, a Federal Government Department in Canberra is seeking the services of a Senior Test Analyst.

Contract Period: Jan 2018 to 30 June 2018

The client requires the successful candidate to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Creating test estimates and test Matrix documents based on Functional Specifications;
  • Creating and executing Test Scripts using the Departments Quality Assurance tool for testing and following the Case Management Systems Sections Procedures;
  • Creating Defects from test execution and managing defects to a finalized state using the Departments Quality Assurance tool for testing and following the Case Management Systems Sections Procedures;
  • Performing test related tasks on time at the highest quality;
  • Providing testing related estimates as required;
  • Providing timely support to key stakeholders;
  • Ensuring the manager and other stakeholders are updated with the status testing activities and escalating issues as appropriate;
  • Assisting with the leadership of a team to successfully deliver testing related outcomes including representing the manager when necessary;
  • Mentoring and supporting junior staff within the team as required.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/responsibilities:

  • Minimum 6 years' testing experience in an IT environment, including planning, writing and executing tests utilizing various types of specifications;
  • Minimum 4 years' testing experience with the Siebel Application using the Siebel SDLC model;
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake technical testing using SQL, XML or ETL;
  • Impeccable communication and analytical skills;
  • Solid understanding of the role of testing in the software development life cycle;
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile Environment on Siebel related projects;
  • Extensive experience in testing concepts, principles and methodologies;
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • Solid experience using automated and/or manual test tools such as Quick Test Pro or ALM;
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a test environment where there is a continuous impact to what can be done;
  • Experience leading a team and mentoring and supporting junior staff
  • Previous experience in an integrated system environment. (Desirable)

The client requires the applicants to hold Australian Citizenship with Baseline Clearance.
