Our client is a company which specialises in the development, manufacture, supply, management and logistics of an innovative product. They're based in Slough and looking for a Software Developer on a contract basis.
Profile
We are looking for a multi-tasker full stack developer (60% Front End, middle and 40% Back End skills) with greenfield experience. You'd be a passionate individual who research, design, program, and test computer software. The successful candidate will be working on the Device portal on MS Azure. We already have the development portal but this needs to be expanded on and added to. Ie. scaled up.
The ability to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Software engineer responsibilities will include development, writing code, and documenting functionality.
You'd need to be particularly good on UI and front development (Angular) with greenfield experience on these areas.

The company seeks to improve their customers supply chains through advanced materials science and leading edge IoT technology. Their aim is to change the face of the logistics industry with the implementation of a large-scale IoT project with millions of connected devices.
Responsibilities
- Execute full life cycle software development
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
- Serve as a subject matter expert
- Comply with project plans and industry standards
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a full stack computer software engineer or software developer with emphasis on Front End skills.
- Hands on experience in designing interactive applications
- Ability to develop software in C#
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
- Experience in developing web applications using Angular-Js, ASP.NET with MVC, Entity framework, HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, JavaScript, SQL
- Experience with test-driven development
- Mastery in software engineering tools
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
- Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
This is a contract position, with a rate up to £400 per day.
