Senior Ruby on Rails Developer
Contract - 6 months initial
Initial telephone interviews taking place immediately.
Immediately available? Contract up for renewal? Interested in working on a greenfield development project?
Based on the outskirts of North London on a 'greenfield' project, this growing company are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer with at least 3 years solid Ruby/Ruby on Rails experience.
What do they need me to work on?
Brand new developments and expansions of their platform. Most of this work will be from scratch, so you will need to take initiative and be creative, developing in an Agile environment.
Implementing new architecture to support our products
All code needs to be to the highest standard: well-structured and high performing.
Development is Test Driven, and Pair Programming is encouraged.
You'll be liaising at all levels of the business to determine the improvements that need to be made. This will require excellent communication skills and technical expertise, as you'll need to be translating between business and code.
What tech will I need?
- Ruby and Ruby on Rails (essential)
- Redis
- Action Cable (preferable)
- Standard architectural frameworks, eg MVC
- Web-based systems, eg Linux, Apache
