Description
Dear all,we are currently urgently seeking for a Senior Consultant Enterprise Data Lake (Hadoop) to support our international client near Frankfurt.
Tasks:
- Demonstrate extensive functional and/or solution experience through the facilitation and implementation / integration of HADOOP stack-based data hubs and appropriate BI solutions to enhance the client’s business functionality and overall performance.
- Demonstrate extensive project experience in the area of data quality (data profiling, metrics, quality checks, quality scoring, automated corrections, dashboards, quality reports...)
- A small team of relevant experts will be considered the ‘solution think tank’ in the area of ‘corporate data hub’. They will provide their advanced skills to agile delivery teams they will (individually) be part of.
- Responsibility for the successful implementation / integration of business processes through HADOOP and related vendor products (e.g. Kafka, SQL for HADOOP…)
Requirements:
Functional Experience with
- capturing business requirements related to data hubs and BI solutions
- providing advice on building resilient and effective solutions
- implementing HADOOP stack and related vendor products
Particular areas of expertise
- Design and build of data hubs
- Immutable data storage
- Storage for Complex Event Processing
- Stream processing of incoming data feeds
- Data quality, matching, enrichment, metrics, scoring
- BI solutions (reporting, analytics - retrospective/predictive)
- Experience with financial industry (nice to have)
Personal
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Focused and effective in problem solving
- Self-motivated, ability to pick up things quickly
- Language: English, German (nice to have)
Technical
Deep practical knowledge of HADOOP stack (vendor distributions and related third party development):
- Operations: Cluster setup and configuration, security, monitoring
- Development: Messaging and stream based processing, preferably based on Apache Kafka and Apache Spark
- Reporting/BI: Machine learning, model building
- Understanding of Microservice architectures based on Java/Spring Boot technology stack
- Solid understanding of continuous integration, automated testing, deployment, monitoring and related tools including Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven and Nexus
- Experiences with agile project methodologies
- Experience with data quality / data enrichment projects in the recent past
- Practical knowledge of proven solutions for complex integration scenarios
- Experience with Java and Continuous-Integration & Continuous –Deliver, Continuous-Testing
