The Role
Due to rapid expansion and several key project wins, we are looking to hire several new Software Consultants to join our Enterprise Software Consulting business located here in the South West.
You will have at least a few years commercial software development across Java and be Consultative in nature being a good communicator, and be someone that has drive and the desire to learn new things, pick up new tools and ways of working, as well as enjoy working on both Green Field and Brown Field programmes.
You will be working with a multitude of medium to very large end clients ranging from Government/Public sector to Private Sector as well as Large Financial Institutions. Some recent have included Full Portal Build/Overhaul, Mobile Travel Applications, Mobile Banking Applications and many more.
Due to the nature and level of security of some of our customers, you will be required to under go Security Vetting Checks to SC Level; so all candidates will need to be clearable to this level. The UK Government requires candidates eligible for SC Clearance to be British Passport holders, and to have remained within the UK for more than 5 years, without spending more than 4 weeks outside the country at any one time. To re-confirm, you DO NOT need Security Clearance upon application, but will need to be eligible for it.
Technology Requirements
You will be well versed across the Java Full Stack and be able to use/support a wide range of open source applications, which are variable depending on which customers you are working with. This gives you a great opportunity to learn new things, play with new technology whilst keeping your knowledge with current or legacy software fresh and updated. Our environments here are AGILE in nature and we operate in Scrum Delivery Teams.
