Front End Developer - Nottingham - £450 per day - SASS, Javascript, JQuery
An experienced Front End Developer is being sought by the UK's most pioneering digital technology organisations for a contract based in Nottingham.
This will initially be 4 days on client site and 1 from home but can change to 3 days on site and 2 from home once settled and productive.
Working with a government department you will be contributing to a high impact project using HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Javascript patterns, JQuery and gaining exposure to SMACSS, Mustache.js, Grunt, Bower and GIT.
Duties:
- Be responsible for production ready Front End code
- Be responsible for accessibility and cross browser/cross device compatibility
- Work with designers to define interaction patterns
- Work with Back End developers to integrate Front End and Back End code, ensuring design integrity and performance
- Build and maintain Front End libraries and frameworks
Required Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of delivering as part of an agile team
- Experienced in web and mobile application UI development
- Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JS patterns and JQuery
- Experience building responsive sites/applications
- Experience building and testing across browsers and devices
- Experience building to at least W3C AA standard for accessibility
- Knowledge using Front End build systems (eg Grunt)
- Knowledge managing Front End dependencies (eg Bower)
- Knowledge working with version control systems (eg GIT)
- Organising and building UI modules
