SQL Database Administrator/Data Management (DWH)
One of my globally leading banking clients is looking for an Experienced Database Administrator to strengthen its DevOps teams that deliver solutions to treasurers of multinationals worldwide.
The objective of this project is for the SQL Database administrators (DBA) to work closely with architects, infrastructure support, systems engineers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless and quality IT support for our clients customers and alignment with standards, controls and governance.
To be successful, you must possess a combination of technical, business and leadership skills. This requires an understanding of customers business needs, processes, and functions. As a DBA, you also require a solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, applications development and support, networks, and computer operations. In addition, you must possess excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English and the ability to influence others.
Your main responsibility
* Continuous improve (together with stakeholders) data management quality
* Support daily work and projects within the Data Management Team
* Corresponding with DevOps Java Development Teams
* Work within a DBA DevOps Team in Kanban structure
* Take lead position on infra tasks and projects, as the migration to MS SQL Server
* Be involved with all aspects of these tools: infra, security, platform, technical and functional.
Profile (desired skills & experience)
* Bachelor degree and proficient in English and Dutch (verbal and written)
* Thorough understanding of database structures, theories, principles, practices and understanding of, and experience with, relational database environments.
* 5+ years' experience with SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise and Replication Server (former Sybase) environments is required. Preferred is also Microsoft SQLServer (preferably version 2016 or higher) knowledge, because of migration to this within a year's notice.
* Having an agile mind set, fast to adapt constant changes and feeling comfortable with it
* Focused on what is most important at all time, realizing when to change the game plan and when to stick to it
* Good social and communication skills
* Open, you say what you mean and mean what you say
* Preferred is knowledge of application development for DWH and reporting/dashboards
Contract: 12months +
