This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Ruby Developer to join a growing business in developing a number of exciting, commercially available products in an environment promoting internal progression and product innovation.
You will be joining an established development team who believe in product innovation and utilising new technologies to benefit their product development. The programming responsibility will initially focus on Ruby, Ruby on Rails; however experience with other languages will be beneficial as the company and products continue to evolve.
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED;
- Commercial development with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, 5years +
- Experience with Linux and Windows platforms
- Experience of Greenfield projects working the full development life cycle
- Agile/SCRUM best practice, including TDD, BDD
- Database experience with MySQL, MongoDB or similar
- Excellent communicator, happy liaising with all levels of the business
- A Software Engineering background is an advantage, a 'generalist' with a passion for Ruby development
- JavaScript; NodeJS or similar experience is an advantage
