For a big international client of us we have got an opening for a contractor position for a period of six months, with the possibility for an extension to a year.
You will assist the team in resolving, and documenting simulation and tuning workflows and adapting and improving the implementation of some numerical algorithms. The candidate should be able to communicate fluently in English, have a proven 5+ experience in scientific and/or simulator software development, a background in computational science (physics, chemistry, biology), and have had exposure to the use of multiple programming languages, but at least be grounded in C++.
Furthermore, experience with parallelization paradigms and parallel frameworks like OpenMP and MPI would be beneficial as is exposure to modern software development practices. The candidate should be result and success oriented, coachable, and be able to work effectively in a team.
