Description
Senior Java Developer/Repo SME with experience of trading systems (Fixed Income and REPO) is required for leading provider of Trading Platforms based in London.
As the developer you will be working on the Repo trading functionality for a Fixed Income Trading Platform they have implemented at a major Investment Bank. They need developer with Fixed Income Lending/Repo, Securities Finance Lending experience, ideally you will have worked on the development or support of platforms such as Martini, Anvil, Global One, Ion Platform (Ion Bus, MMI/MarketView, WinFits) or 4 sight.
Experience:
- Banking, ideally Fixed Income/Repo, Securities Finance Lending/Bonds experience
- Worked on platforms such as Martini, Anvil, Global One, Ion Platform (Ion Bus, MMI/MarketView, WinFits) or 4 sight.
- Core Java experience and expertise; A good feel for immutability, composition vs. inheritance and when to apply procedural, Object Oriented or functional programming styles.
- Spring (Java) utilities and dependency injection experience.
- Understanding of the workings of HTTP and web services (RESTful APIs and SOAP) and server-based messaging (JMS, specifically Tibco EMS).
- Unix experience with some general Shell Scripting knowledge for building utilities and investigating issues.
- Unit testing and using Java mocking frameworks (Mockito, EasyMock).
- An interest in modern IT practices and a good high-level view of a wide range of technologies; ability to evaluate which languages or tools are appropriate for each situation.
