Perl Dev Engineer
For one of Europe's and Netherland's largest financial clients, we are currently seeking an experienced (mid-senior level) all-round Perl DEV Engineer to strengthen the Vortex team. This will be a stable 12 months' contract in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Paying excellent rates (Possible extensions).
You will work in a progressive role alongside Business Analysts, Testers and OPS Engineers in a Scrum Agile development process. The main focus of your software development contributions lies in enhancing the Vortex application, which is an in-house developed application (SQL/Perl/Java).
We don't necessarily expect the successful candidate to tick all of these boxes, but the following are some areas where you'll be expected to have (or quickly gain) strong credentials:
* Experience with Perl
* Knowledge of Java
* Good in abstract thinking, structural problem solving
* Excellent knowledge of software quality assurance (eg pair programming, code review, security testing) and automation of testing
* Experience across various levels of testing, such as functional, regression, E2E and chain tests
* XFB, encryption & hashing
* Working experience with Service Now Backlog Management and Confluence
* Knowledge of implementation of security measures
* Knowledge of large relational databases (eg Oracle, Sybase)
* Knowledge of Linux Operating System fundamentals
