AGILE / SCRUM / WEBOPS / DEVOPS / AUTOMATION / CLOUD / INFRASTRCUTURE / LINUX SERVERS / DOCKER / CONTAINERISATION / Terraform, Cloudformation, Ansible Scripting, Bash, Python, FabricThis organisation is part way through a large-scale (agile) digital transformation Programme - and are looking for an experienced WebOps engineer to join their team.
You will be responsible for working with project teams to build and maintain automated deployment processes - to encourage common code ownership of the deployment stack amongst project developers -to encourage the breaking down of silos between operations and development, and to monitor and administer cloud based infrastructure and platforms.
The applicant must have previous experience maintaining web applications on Linux servers in a production environment and using automated tooling to configure new servers.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of creating CI/CD pipelines
- Be able write code in at least one programming language
- Comfortable with version control
- Containerisation: Docker Engine, Docker Compose
- Experience working with developers to test, debug and troubleshoot issues and problems
- Understanding of networking and supporting services
- Experience working with cloud providers (AWS preferred)
Desirable Skills:
- Provisioning tools: e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation, Ansible
- Knowledge of installation and management of open source monitoring and logging tools (Sensu, Elasticsearch, Logstash,Kibana)
- Scripting: Bash, Python, Fabric
- Knowledge of automated regression testing

- Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
Security Clearance will be required at SC level - candidates need to be SC clearable
