Description
Senior DevOps Engineer urgently required for a Global Software Company, who have created a cloud based Big Data Analytics Platform.
This is a 6 month contract role based in central London.
As the successful Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the diagnosing and fixing of large scale projects, ensuring large systems are built well and are very reliable.
We require experience of bringing together High Availability, Scalability and Efficiency for distributed systems, working tightly with other technical teams and peers.
1. Strong Linux
2. Strong Experience Scripting python
3. At least 1 item from ordered list below
4. Production/Operation environment if possible.
We also require candidates that have expertise in at least 1 of the following:
1. Kudu
2. Mesos/DCOS or Kubernetes
3. Distributed systems design with a solid understanding of consensus algorithms
4. HDFS
5. Microservices
6. Spark
7. Postgres
Additional technical expertise is required with the following:
Big Data platforms: Hadoop or Spark
Scripting: Python, Bash and Perl.
AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
