Senior JavaScript Developer - React/Redux/Node/SASS/LESS/AWS/TDD
A PureTech Talent client urgently requires a Senior Frontend Engineer with circa 5 years of experience building modern user interfaces at enterprise level from the ground up. A seriously hot opportunity for a growing FinTech business we deal with in Central London (Zone 1).
Key skills and Background:
- You will be expected to work in a fully Agile/Scrum environment, providing expertise building high frequency, low latency applications using React.JS/Redux/Node.JS.
- Proven track record with Front End technologies such as HTML/CSS/SASS/LESS.
- Good experience deploying products into the cloud, preferably Azure or AWS.
- A TDD advocate, utilising tools such as Mocha/Chai/Karma/Jasmine/QUnit.
- CI/CD experience with Octopus Deploy/Jenkins/TeamCity/GIT/SVN.
- Skilled at integrating Front End products with Server Side code to produce dynamic pages and a good understanding of REST API's.
- Exposure to .NET or Java environments and SQL/NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB)would be highly advantageous.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
About the role:
- As a core member of the Front End team, you will be primarily responsible for the delivery of a business critical project - transforming their core website from .NET/MVC technologies to a React/Node tech stack.
- You will work closely with a solid team of JavaScript engineers to complete this project within the given timeframes.
- Longer term, there is an opportunity for you to get involved in other transformation projects. The customer would like to rebuild some of their other applications across the business from .NET and Java to React/Node.
