On behalf of our client in Hamburg/Germany we are currently looking for a qualified freelancer to start as soon as possible as a:Ruby on Rails Developer (f/m) with 60% Remote Possibility

Working place: Hamburg/Germany
Working period: 01.02.2018 (3 months, will be prolonged up to a year in 3 months iterations)
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Remote possibility: 60% remote possible
Area of occupation: Startpage team
Projects: Activities (Database migration from Riak to Cassandra, including small refactorings)
Tasks:
- Find a new storage solution for the activities app, most likely Cassandra
- Migrate existing database from Riak to Cassandra
- Adapt or optimise schema for new database with existing access patterns.
- Application is written in Ruby on Rails with custom model layer, no ActiveRecord. Good test coverage
