For a big international client of us, in the financial environment in Amsterdam, we're looking for a DevOps engineer specialized in Oracle PL/SQL, Unix and Autosys. This is for the duration of 6 months with possibilities to extend.

Job Description

You will be working in our Analytics area which is responsible for developing & maintaining the Oracle Datawarehouse. We follow Agile/Scrum methodology which means you will be working in business devops teams of 6-8 comprising of devops engineers and analysts as well as a Product Owner who will decide on the priority of the user. In addition you have a positive and constructive attitude towards your work and colleagues.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with business stakeholders to understand new requirements and changes to existing datawarehouse.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain code in PL/SQL/Unix.
  • E2E responsibility which means performing both development and operations role.
  • Monitoring of batches, bug fixing and incident resolution.

Desired candidate profile.

  • Strong Oracle PL/SQL experience.
  • Strong Unix Shell Scripting experience.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M.
  • Experience with GIT.
  • Knowledge of IBM PDA/Netezza is a pre.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining datawarehouses.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Use of SQL query tools like SQL developer, aginity etc.
  • Experience with working in Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.
  • Experience with support of end-users.
  • You are pro-active, you take it on and make it happen.
