Mid-Senior Web Developer (JavaScript/React)
Exciting opportunity to work with an Atlanta household name and global technology leader as a Web Developer working on an innovative and complex website seen by millions!
This position is a hands-on development position where you will be working in a fast pace environment and rolling out new features and enhancements to digital products that are highly responsive with high volumes of users. You will spend the majority of your time on the Front End using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks including React. This is an agile environment with 2 week sprints, an open floor environment and very strong development team. The ideal developer will be very strong with React and strong with mobile first development. Must be able to code CSS from scratch, not just rely on Bootstrap since this is custom code.
Not only is this team doing continuous deployments with containers, but they are also doing continuous integration! Excellent opportunity to be exposed and work in a cutting edge technical environment and have autonomy over industry leading technical trends. Experience working in a cloud (AWS or Azure) environment with CI and deployment tools would put you in high consideration!
This is a 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend in New York, NY. REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 3+ years overall development experience (JavaScript)
- React (personal or professional experience)
- CSS - able to write mobile first code that does not rely on 3rd parties
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- 2+ years React
- Consumer facing & responsive digital websites
- Web APIs/Web Services
- NodeJS AND/OR NPM (Node Package Manager)
- Docker AND Git
- Experience working in a cloud environment (preferably AWS)
- AMP for Google Search
- Agile
