Description
Senior DevOps Engineer is required for a 6-month initial contract at a major retailer based in Paris. They are currently going through a large scale digital transformation
They need a DevOps to join a team from a major consultancy, who will create tools and applications for the retailer using cutting-edge technologies on a project expected to last at least 2 years.
They ideally want a DevOps from a coding/development background, understand the entire DevOps toolchain from a quality perspective, and have the ability to work as a team, mentoring and assisting others when necessary.
Experience
- Demonstrate expert level proficiency in Shell Scripting and in one or more of the open source Scripting languages Groovy and Python.
- Hands-on skills and project experience with Automated package delivery tools - one or more of Ansible, Chef or Puppet
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, SonarQube, Fortify, and Nexus
- Experience with container technology Docker, Kubernetes
- Hands-on skills and project experience with the following application build tools - Npm or Gulp AND Maven or Gradle
- Working knowledge of JUnit and/or Jasmine non-functional, functional and unit test frameworks and tools.
- Strong awareness of the software build cycle
- Working knowledge of Tomcat and WebSphere application Servers and Java containers
- Basic infrastructure knowledge - Operating Systems, VM s, Containers, Proxy, Nginx
- Experience with Public Cloud (Azure preferred, but not a must), Private Cloud based on OpenStack
This is initially a 6-month contract with a view to extending for 18-24 months
