Description

I am looking for a Linux/C software engineer with knowledge of hands-on security testing, malware analysis, binary analysis of ARM firmware, reverse engineering and developing proof of concept for exploits and solutions - penetration testing.

You will need to possess a burning desire to professionally hack systems and networks, a good level of experience with Linux and its command codes, scripts and kernels, C and Assembler development skills, and familiar with tools and techniques such as, malware analysis, disassemblers, deobfuscators, debuggers, decompilers, packet sniffers.

The assignment is working with a well-respected R&D organisation for an initial 12 month assignment onsite in Brussels.

Very briefly the tasks centre around evaluating and improving the current security measures in a range of Linux, Android, ARM based devices and IoT cloud infrastructures, for example smart-phones, fitness/personal-health smart-wear devices, Smart-TVs etc. includes hands-on security testing and reverse engineering for solutions and security verification tools development.

Some experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques including:

  • Debuggers, de-compilers, disassemblers, de-obfuscators
  • Static and dynamic binary analysis, binary injection
  • Packet sniffers
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good C/assembly development skills
  • Experience with both Linux (command lines) and Windows OS
  • Good writing skills

Nice to have

  • Anti-tamper, attack vectors, cryptography, Android OS.

I have a full tasks description available to qualified applicants. Circa 65 per hour depending on the level of requested skills.

It is the customer's intention to offer a further 12 month extension for good performers.
