Front End Engineer OmniChannel

Job description:
As a Front End engineer for my client, you build and implement products and features using the latest web standards and emerging technologies. You fulfil a crucial role in the architecture and development of compelling customer-facing products.
Together with team members in your agile squad you will develop using the latest web technologies like Polymer, ES6 and Web Components. The interfaces you create are fully responsive and are fast and easy-to-use. You are keen on quality and reusability and optimize your code for performance and scalability.
You share your experiences with developers around you and promote best
practices. The high quality software you deliver comes with extensive tests and is build using continuous integration tools.

Your responsibilities are:
Developing efficient features and user interfaces by working closely with UX designers and Customer Journey Experts.
Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices in order to push the limits of what a browser can do.
Initiate, iterate and continuous improve on technology, developing the product as well as the way of work.

Your technical/personal qualifications are:
* BS/MS degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 4+ years of experience in software development; in-depth experience developing web-based applications in enterprise environment.
* 4+ years of relevant programming experience in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
* Solid understanding of web technology fundamentals and standards.
* Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (such as Angular, React and Polymer) and CSS methodologies like BEM and software platform Node.js.
* Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership and responsibility.
* An understanding of the principles of accessibility and can build products that are accessible to users with disabilities.

Preferred qualifications are:
* Experience engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
* Experience with mobile development including adaptive and hybrid techniques.
* Experience in user interface design and rapid prototyping.

Contract: Dec 31st 2018 + Likely extension
Rates: Negotiable
