Description

This is a brand new digital programme established to develop a suite of products and information services to support users for a forward thinking Public sector organisation. They will be removing a large number of legacy information systems used by local teams and offices throughout England. Being mobile first will also be a key element of the programme.

The team strongly endorses the self-organising ethos of Agile - this represents an ideal opportunity for a competent developer to expand their skills into the most recent technology stack in a productive and supportive Agile team.

This application is being built using Government Digital Service approach and a microservices design pattern utilising open source technologies.

They have established and tested CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins, Ansible and Docker at its core, cloud hosted on Azure, supporting BDD with Karma, Jasmine, Protractor.

To be effective in this role you will be an experienced software developer familiar with a range of digital / web services and solutions, ideally where open source and cloud technologies have applied; utilising agile development methods.

You will work independently and in the team, with a high degree of proactively and adaptability to changing circumstances and demands. You will be an excellent communicator who has worked in an agile environment focused on delivery. You will be confident in working with users and using a variety of development tools and techniques and be committed to quality and continuous improvement.
