SC Cleared Oracle/Postgres DBA Team Leader (Hands-on)

PLEASE NOTE:
This role requires current and valid SC clearance which you must hold.
- To be considered for this role you will require the following skills and attributes:
- Previous team leading experience with technical staff
- A strong customer support background
- Strong experience of DBA work with Oracle (mainly) and Postgres databases including activities such as installs, patching, upgrading, backups, etc
- Solid experience of designing and creating databases as well as their associated maintenance
- Strong problem solving skills
The role will involve the following:
- Planning and directing the activities of 3 direct reports (all DBAs)
- Team management, performance management and mentoring
- Delivering effective DBA services to the business
- Diagnosing and resolving database problems
- Ensuring operational services are maintained at all times
- Conducting and managing installs, upgrades and configuration tasks
- Maintaining system security
- Managing backup and recovery procedures
