Mainframe Cobol/DB2 developer
Mainframe Cobol/DB2 developer. One of my clients is looking for a Mainframe Cobol/DB2 developer in Brussels, Belgium (French or Dutch Speaking) for a 6-12 month contract.
- Functional/Technical Mainframe analyst to transform business requirements into technical specification
- Fulfil the demands and other support requests
- Current working experience in Cobol, IMS, DB2 platforms
- Dutch/French language is mandatory
- Exposure to Agile development methodology
Must Have
- Hands on Cobol/DB2 programming experience in Legacy Mainframe based system
- Strong understanding of Source code Cobol and SQL
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in SDLC and Methodologies* Proficiency in Dutch/French and English (E2)
- Insurance (Life and NonLife) domain knowledge Preferable* Ability to participate in Business Discussion/Meeting & Requirement review with SMEs
- Able to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people* Seeking information/clarification for projects or support high priority incidents
- Translating the documents/sharing information from local language to English
- Ability to work as a bilingual and interfacing between Customer and Consultancy team
- Flexible in working hours (8 Hours/day) based on project requirements
Good to have
- Having basic knowledge in Operating System (TSO), Batch Jobs (JCL), Onlines, and operating languages such as Assembly/ADABAS
- Prior experience in working with multicultural team and offshore onsite model
- Documentation skill and sufficient knowledge in Microsoft productivity tools like Msword, Msexcel, PPT etc.
