We currently have a vacancy for a Database Developer to offer his/her services within a European agency (client) in BRUSSELS to start ASAP an initial 200 w/days contract in an EN-speaking environment.
Extensions are possible. Our client is an international Organisation and a great reference in any CV.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Design, implementation and maintenance of database layer of multi-tears applications
- Data analysis, Datamodelling.
- Development and maintenance of database stored procedures
- Database configuration and optimisation
- Database integration with applications.
- Execution of database test programs
- Definition and integration of database components
- Physical database design
- Writing of technical documentation
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the Database
- Participation in meetings with project teams
Skills & Experience
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems
- In-depth knowledge of Java/JEE technologies
- Good knolledge of ColdFusion
- Good knowledge of modelling database tools
- Good knowledge of stored procedure languages (eg PL/SQL)
- Good knowledge of application development environments
- Knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting
- Capability and experience in working in team.
Education and experience
- Minimum 16 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
- Minimum 12 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems
- Experience with programming languages
- Experience with DB modelling tools
- Experience in web application development
Specific expertise
- Minimum a total of 12 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: Java/JEE, RDBMS (eg Oracle), DB languages (eg PL/SQL), modelling tools, strong knowledge of RDBMS.
