Scala Developer - AKKA/Slick/Full Stack - 6 months+

Scala developer is needed by my international client to work on their mission critical application for a 6 month initial engagement. The successful Scala developer will have some full-stack experience and will have a pragmatic approach to software development.

The project is working with cutting-edge complex technologies and requires advanced coding, creative solutions, superb attention to detail, and a wide variety of programming languages and tooling.

Specifically Scala developers will be:

• Building large-scale Scala API services, based on eg Akka HTTP, Slick and ScalaTest
• Understands JavaScript/AngularJS on a technical level.
• Creating modular and scalable code that integrates with our platform as well as external API endpoints.
• Work both independently and collaboratively in a development cycle environment (Agile/Scrum) with a crossfunctional product development team
• Contribute to scoping and estimation discussions with product owner and scrum master.
• Keep assets organised and optimised, to create a maintainable code base.
