Senior Technical Systems Analyst
Location: Luxembourg

We are looking for a Senior Technical Systems Analyst to join the project within application development. Working for a UK Management Consulting business working on site at client based in Luxembourg. Responsible for delivering applications and modules designed to resolve business system needs while working closely with various partners across IT. Duties include design and development for reporting and data feed applications in a fund administration environment. You will be involved in all aspects of the development and or maintenance process within a well-established team. You will have some experience with Middleware technologies and data warehouse implementations, worked in an application development role for at least 5 years and have familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Tasks
- Design, code and document applications in a reporting development environment (PL/SQL)
- Execute unit test, system and integration test
- Assess, research and analyze business and system needs, exploring designs that meet sponsor needs and deliverables including component reusability, data sharing and security.
- Prepares high level and detailed technical specifications for our project parts in accordance with specification documents, security and architecture documentation objectives.
- Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
- If required, develops criteria for and participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises
Skillset
- 5+ years of experience in an application development role.
- Experience/Understanding with different design techniques/tools (eg OO. Top-down, structured analysis, component-based design) and Middleware technologies, Datawarehouse, ETL
- Worked with different programming language experience (eg ESQL, PL/SQL, Java, .net)
- Oracle & SQL Experience and or Knowledge.
- Experience/Understanding of Agile Methodology.
- Knowledge of multiple platforms eg Webserver, Client Server and the ability to select appropriate one to meet business needs.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in the development of Asset Management/Fund Adminstration applications and IT Environment would be a plus
- University/College Graduate, preferably graduate in computer science, finance, mathematics or physical sciences
