Data Engineer (PL/SQL Developer)
For one of my leading Dutch financial client I am looking for a Dutch speaking Data Engineer -PL/SQL Developer for a contract up until 30th September with likely option to extend based from their lavish offices in Amsterdam.
As a Data Engineer - PL/SQL Developeryou ensure that the data from the different source systems from one central model can be made available, thus reducing the value of these data will be raised. You assess the best technical methods and supports the business in delivering this data in the desired manner. Think about data delivery through APIs for websites and data delivery of data in tooling of Data Analysis tools for both Data Scientists and user self-service environments.
Your working day consists of (But not limited to):
The Business Intelligence (BI) team is organized close to the business. because of this
his lines with the requesting parties of BI are short. You are part of product-oriented
teams that develop products according to an Agile method.
Examples of activities for you are:
* Development of transformation logic for unlocking new data from existing ones
source systems,
* Investigate and organize processes for the development of new ones
source systems,
* Implementation of an API for the supply of generic data to web interfaces for
customers,
* Setting up a data environment for reporting tools,
* Development of a retrieval mechanism of data from source systems to the
generic database environment
* Automate various steps in the process of unlocking data up to
making data available.
Your location will be Heerlen or Amsterdam, depending on where you live. Because of the deploying a large part of our BI team in Heerlen is the willingness to create one to be present in Heerlen for a 1 to 2 days per week.
Job requirements:
As a Data Engineer you have a thorough knowledge of SQL and experience with development environments. You have the capacity to master your new development environments make and are eager to learn and innovative. you are able to have a good substantive conversation with both customers and technicians, you are able to carry, you are enthusiastic, independent, solution-oriented and a team player.
Furthermore, you take along:
* A completed exact higher professional education/university degree, preferably computer science, business intelligence;
* 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in the field of Data Engineering;
* Knowledge and experience in the implementation of complex SQL statements;
* Knowledge and experience in a programming environment;
* Knowledge and experience in modern tools and technologies such as Hadoop, R, Java, MuleSoft is a pre.
Location: Amsterdam or Heerlen (Your choice depending on where you live, but travel 1 or 2 days per week to either site is required.
Rates: Max €80 per hour depending on experience.
Contract: 5 Months (30th Sept) with likely extension.
