Description

A leading banking client of mine is looking for As an IT Engineer in a DevOps squad, you fulfil an important IT-substantive role in developing software solutions for the Business tribe Collections. You work intensively with other squads and colleagues within the IT Area and beyond. You will not only talk about technology, but also understand the process interest of the applications and what this ultimately means for our customers.

In addition to a substantive IT engineering function, you also function as a coach of a team engineering colleagues and you are responsible for all HR aspects that are involved in stimulating, motivating and coaching the experts in your team that average 10-15 Data Engineering. specialists. As team Lead you are responsible for the knowledge development of your employees within the Way-of-Work
Your work environment

The DevOps squads within the Bank use the Scrum methodology and a far-reaching Agile Way-of-Work. The Bank is thus at the forefront of the method used for designing, building and testing applications, as well as the process of managing, managing and ultimately decommissioning applications. In this way, the Bank continually works to optimise service to its customers and to further strengthen its leading position in the market. In your job you also have a direct influence on the satisfaction among ING customers and of course you are expected to put the customer's interests first in all your work.

A total of six A & G IT Area DevOps squads work for the business tribe Collections in your immediate environment. Within the squads, banking software solutions are developed to support the Collections business processes. The Data Engineering squad in which you yourself work consists largely of IT professionals with a passion for Data, supplemented with business colleagues. The squad works end-to-end and independently carries out information analysis, develops its own data models and builds ETL solutions on the IBM Infosphere platform. The management of the platform is not a squad responsibility but is centrally regulated.

Key Skills
* Completed HBO/WO education in computer science (or similar)
* Experience with developing and managing Data Warehouse solutions
* Experience with SQL programming
* Experience with data modelling (Kimball)
* Experienced with Linux (Red Hat), Shell Scripting, bash
* Experience with Scrum/Agile Way-of-Work
* Experienced with witht Continuous Delivery & Continuous Improvement Frameworks tooling (Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, GIT, ELK, etc.)
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong people management skills
* 'take it on and make it happen' mentality
* Good command of Dutch and English language.
