JOB DUTIES:
Lead Back End development for proprietary enterprise scale financial platform, that will utilize multiple integration points across planning, engineering, and build platforms., deep analytics, possibly machine learning platforms.
This is a Back End developer position. Ideal candidate will have solid experience in Back End systems and technologies, with enough Front End knowledge to understand end-to-end product/platform.
.*Financial Experience/background a big plus*
- Must Have Experience Developing in cloud environment using Maria DB etc.
- Must be able to quickly create production quality code/functionality with limited guidance
- Must have ability to translate abstract thoughts into working POC Models
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
Back-end developer:
- Basic understanding of Front End technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
- Data migration, transformation, and Scripting
- Setup and administration of backups
- Outputting data in different formats
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient knowledge of a Back End programming language Java
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
DESIRED SKILLS:
Front end developer
- Core web fundamentals: HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- CSS precompilers like Sass and LESS
- JavaScript frameworks with JS-based build tools like Bower
- Skills in one or more chosen frameworks/libraries like jQuery or Bootstrap
- AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML)
- Advanced AngularJS Back End technology expertise, server-side technologies like Node.js.
- Advanced Java working knowledge
