We are looking for an Integration Specialist to work at our multinational client in The Hague

Expected tasks and deliverables by the Consultant

  • Contribute to architecture and design sessions to establish the overall context for the reference application and to define integration points between the components of the reference application.
  • Write the high-level design and specifications for the allocated software components. These will cover integration, functional and non-functional requirements. When relevant, particular attention will be given to interfaces, usability, performance and security. Establish clearly defined acceptance criteria
  • Act as a linking pin with the development team
  • Contribute to the detailed component design and specifications and ensure that the standards and guidelines regarding continuous integration and software engineering are followed.
  • Supervise and/or contribute to the development of the reference application components. Coach the development team as required. Monitor software quality and bring it within the agreed acceptance criteria
  • Ensure that system and unit tests are performed and that the software components have been implemented according to the agreed designs and specifications and state of the art development practices. Liaise with the central design team and integration team to obtain virtualised services or stubs to perform early system integration tests
  • Bring the components to the assembly team and assist in the integration of the delivered components. Make or coordinate the making of necessary changes to the development team.
  • Document recipes/patterns for delivering similar components on the platform

Educational and experience

  • University degree and a considerable knowledge of Java development and software engineering skills.

Mandatory skills:

  • Very good knowledge of information modelling in UML
  • Good knowledge of J2EE and Groovy
  • Good knowledge of Spring, Hibernate and JBoss

Preferably skills:

  • Good knowledge of jBPM, Drools, Active MQ Artemis/AMQ 7(JMS)
  • Good knowledge of (Non-) relational databases, preferably Mongo DB and Microsoft SQL
  • Good knowledge of REST services
  • Experience with multi-sourcing delivery environments;
  • Expert knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices;
  • Expert knowledge in the tools which are part of the build and deployment platform (SVN, Git/Bitbucket, HipChat, CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube);
  • Expert knowledge of and demonstrated experience with JavaScript, Node.js, npm and related frameworks;
  • Knowledge in the area of Software Containers/Docker;
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3;
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Linux and Shell Scripting (bash);
  • Good troubleshooting capabilities;
  • Good Communication skills, interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
  • Being active in a multi-cultural environment, the Contractor's staff shall have a very good level of English (oral and written).
